My June 20th Wedding Review...Very Long.. Pic Link Added : )

We had the best time and it went by so fast!!! I lucked out tremendously with the weather as it was suppose to pour all day but when I got to the reception hall to get ready the sun was shining. The day before we decided to hold everything inside (ceremony and cocktails) but when I saw the sun I told them to set the ceremony outside and I’m so happy I did!! All my vendors did a very good job and I’ll give an honest review.

Invitations – Lizard Designs – A+ I loved my invitations and they were a bit different from the norm. Liz addressed and stamped all the invitations as well so that was a big help. I wish she did more than wedding invitations so I can use her again.

Favors – Sweet Nut Hut – A+…..I ordered the silver wine stoppers with the heart at the top and Kathy wrapped them beautifully with ribbon and almonds. She was a pleasure to work with and even scrambled to help me get 5 more at the last minute.

Programs – LA Productions – B+…..Laura was a pleasure to work with and my programs came out exactly as I wanted...beautiful. The only reason she didn’t get higher was that they weren’t finished until 2 days before the wedding and I got a little panicked.

Ceremony and Cocktail Hour Music – Encore Music – A …… I hired a string trio from Encore and they were very easy to work with up to the wedding and arrived on time. I’m giving my grade on the comments of my guests who said they were great because honestly I don’t remember hearing anything….I think I was concentrating to much on not tripping up the aisle : ).

DJ – Family Friend and did an ok job. He had everyone dancing but didn’t play a few things I requested.

Flowers – Sugar Magnolias – A+…….I loved everything about my flowers. They were exactly what I wanted and everyone was fighting over the centerpieces to take home. She decorated my hall beautifully and added flowers everywhere. Heidi was a pleasure to work with and one of my best vendors by far.

Makeup – JN – A….I just love that girl. She did a wonderful job. I got the airbrushing and it stayed on all night. I wanted a very natural look and that is exactly what she gave me. All I had to do was reapply my lipstick.

Photographers – Photo by Verdi – A+ …. We received our proofs last night and got well over a 1000. I loved working with them. They put everyone at ease and we all had a great time. They stayed until the end and were snapping away the whole time.

Reverend – Reverend Janine Burns – B+…..Loved her!!! We were a little worried up until the wedding because everytime we spoke to her she kept saying the wrong wedding date, but she showed up and gave the best ceremony I have ever heard (of course I’m biased hehe). It was beautiful and almost every guest commented on how touching it was.

Reception Hall – Three Village Inn – B …..Overall the entire wedding was awesome and we had about 30 calls on our answering machine when we got home saying how great it was. The food was fabulous. Everyone loved the cocktail hour. They threw in a few cold shrimp platters because a few people did not show, which was awesome. The main courses from what everyone said were delicious and the cake tasted great. The Three Village Inn was beautiful and had the entire restaurant decorated for me. The things that didn’t go right and I’ll be calling them about on Monday….. The MD left an hour before the party ended, before dessert. The dessert plate was supposed to be a large decorated plate with a tuxedo strawberry and the wedding cake. It was a small plate with the cake and a regular strawberry crammed together. I paid extra for that!!! My Bridal Assistant never showed up. The MD never even mentioned it or tried to resolve it. My officant was the one who told me she called out sick. I never received the top of my cake. Of course I didn’t realize it until I was on my honeymoon but that really irks me. It makes me sad because the place is absolutely wonderful and everyone I worked with before the wedding from the BMs to the owner were bending over backwards to make me happy and the evening was a little marred do to the incompetence of the MD.

Overall my wedding was wonderful and went way too fast but I am so happy to be a MRS.!!!!!

Oh the honeymoon was awesome too….A western Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Pride and a week at the Polynesian resort in Disney World. A+s to both places.

I attached a few pictures to shutterfly. I hope it works!!!

ugh can't get shutterfly to work .... I'll try a little later : (

I'm getting married at the Three Village Inn in February. It sounds like they did a good job- I can breath a bit. but who was your MD. Mine is Angelo, and I'm hoping he wasn't yours.

No it was Paul. Angelo is a doll. I wish i had him. He was there during the ceremony and was very helpful. No worries with him and good luck on your upcoming wedding. It'll be great : )
