Villa Lombardi's Brides or anyne else who might have heard . . .(important)

A few monts back, i had heard that the Lombardis sold Villa, and called my banquet manager and was told that this wa a rumor. i asked another good source and heard the same-just a rumor. Now today I head that they sold Villa and that is why they opened Lombardi's market. Has anyone heard the same? If so, do you think that the market caters the food for Villa Lombardi's - Just curius - am concerned that if this is true that the quality of the foodis going to change. I don't want to start rumors or cause a panic, but I wanted to know if anyone had heard anything before I went andcalled (again) about the situation.

I havent heard this. They have owned that place for a long time.
I dont think that is the reason why they opened that market. They just opened it so they can seel their products

Just Rumors.... They opened the store, because the owners are millionares and doing so great with the business. My sister is getting married there in Oct and she say that she heard that rumor too and it is not true.

It's just a rumor. The market is just an expansion due to their success. No worries :)

Don't get panicky. Lombardi has not sold the Villa. I know someone who does a lot of business with them & they have not sold.

I don't think they would sell and allow the new owners to continue the name (unless they were still doing the catering) because they have such an amazing reputation for food, I don't think they would jeopardize that. You have nothing to worry about.

One of the Lombardi's lives right up the street from my mom in Wading River...OMG you have GOT to see this house! IT is AMAZING

i heard the same. my brother got married there 2 years ago and i remembered the food. but when we went on new years eve of 02 when the rumors 1st started i can tell there was a difference in the food. based upon my experience the food was ok i think they might of heard possible scottos or i forgot the other name.

I think it is just a rumour. I think the market was opened because people loved their food so much and wanted to have it at home and for family parties in the home
