Thinking of booking for my rehearsal dinner any good or bad?

I used the George washington manor years ago for my college grad party (just a small dinner for about 18 people) - I am thinking of using them for my rehearsal dinner now - but I want to hear about anyones experience recently with them.

They are a little more than we wanted to spend (7$ a person more) BUT when we compared them they were only about 9 dollars more than these other places that were only offering 3 hours and no cocktail hour -plus the other places were only giving us beer, wine and soda instead of the open bar.

Ok they are giving us - 4 hours - nice private room upstairs- unlimited open bar (4 hours) - with a nice selection of passed Hors d'oerves with displays of fruit, cheeses and crudites. Then appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. Champagne toast.

I almost had my reception there. I think the place is gorgeous and if you're willing to spend the extra money, go for it. It sounds like you're getting a great deal! I've heard that the food is pretty good there as well.

I went to a shower there last weekend, the food was very good and so was the service. I had the chicken francaise with this potato thing, both were yummy!

that is good to hear - that is what I thought I would hear - but wanted to make sure there weren't any horrific experiences since we dealt with them last

I attended my friend bridal shower there last May and it was beautiful! She had it in a room upstairs and everything was perfect - the food was great and the service was very good. I don't think you have anyhting to worry about if you book there- good luck!

Re: Thinking of booking for my rehearsal dinner any good or bad?

I've never been there, but I have heard nothing but good things about them. Besides, the $7 more than makes up for itself with the open bar. That is one drink per person. I would do it, especially since you like the place. You only do this once.

I think that's a great choice. I've been to a few weddings there and everything has always been perfect!
