The Melville Marriott...Woodbury Best Western...Holiday Inn of Plainview...

These are reasonable hotels near Oheka Castle...does anyone have any input on them? THANKS!

I just went to the Melville Marriott yesterday to check out the rooms. It's nice and clean. $159 w/o breakfast, $179 w/breakfast. I called Best Western and they were $139 a night. There's also the Marriott Courtyard in Plainview, but they were all booked for the dates needed. Inn at Fox Hollow, more on the pricer side - - $229 a night.

We used the Marriot Melville. They were very accommodating to my guests- they gave us champagne & chocolates- and upgraded us to a suite and we got a great rate (well, because we were in January)...

You can TOTALLY get the Marriott down in price guys- I got them for $99 a night.

I had a really good experience with the Holiday Inn in Plainview. I think the reduced rate for my October (last year) wedding was $109. The rooms were fine and clean. I also had a brunch the next day in a private room. It was very good and the staff there was a pleasure to work with. What I also liked about the hotel was there is a bar/restaurant in the hotel. They made sure they kept it open for my guests returning after the wedding.
