Kona Village on the Big Island (in Hawaii)??

Any comments? Trying to decide between this and the four seasons. We will be staying there for five nights and then on to KUAI-The Princeville.

Haven't been there but loved the Four Seasons on the Big Island and loved their outdoor shower!

FH and I are in the same delimma!!!

I love the idea of the village... all secluded and quiet, we get our own little hut away from it all.... I've never done anything like that before... sounds so nice.
but Mike is FREAKED out b.c there is no air conditioning and (gasp!) no TV. He doesn't think he can survive 3 nights without it!
BUt then again, the Four Seasons on the big island was voted the #1 resort in the country... (check out the Travel Channel specials)
so I think we are going to go with Four Seasons. You just can't go wrong with #1, and the pricing is pretty much the same.

edited to add: we're def. staying at the Princeville too!!!

I debated them both too - but then DH and I decided not to go to Hawaii. In my research, I heard nothing but fabulous things about the 4 Seasons in Hawaii (heard far superior to the one in Maui - my friend works for 4Season too!)! As far as Kona Village - I heard mixed reviews. Some absolutely loved it and some said it was just ok (buggy and no AC were main complaints). Both seem gorgeous though.

My girlfriend just go back from her HM in Maui, Lanai and Big Island. The FOur Seasons on the Big Island was by far, her biggest rave. I also have heard nothing but fabulous things, though it's a bit pricey, well worth it for your honeymoon!

It acually ends up being cheaper if we do the Four Seasons as opposed to Kona Village!
