Where do you like to buy maternity clothes
Since I am working from home, plus my office was casual anyway my maternity 'wardrobe' is all tee-shirts, larger size stretch pants, sweatpants shorts...well you get the idea. I do have a pair of maternity jeans, capri jeans and capri overalls. But mainly---blah!!!! Claud was kind enough
to lend me a few of her things, w hich are not made of denim or sweatpants but I need a few cute outfits. Suggestions on where to shop?

Re: Where do you like to buy maternity clothes
I buy the majority of my clothes at Mimi Maternity in the Walt Whitman Mall, and the rest is from a Pea in the Pod.Oh, and I also have a few tee shirts from Motherhood, although most of their stuff is not my style.
Happy shopping!

Re: Where do you like to buy maternity clothes
Some of my stuff was from Motherhood, alot was from Sears and Target. While I just loved the stuff at Pea in a Pod, it was too rich for my blood.

Michele there is a great maternity outlet in Riverhead
They carry a whole bunch of maternity lines for a lot cheaper
Also Target has the Liz Lange line which has some great stuff. I also got stuff online at Maternity Mall

My friend gets a lot of her stuff from Old Nvy--they now sell in the stores and it is very affordable and very cute. She is also a Target Girl!!

Re: Where do you like to buy maternity clothes
I had the GREATEST experience this weekend at Pumpkin Maternity on Broome Street in NYC.I had been to the mall the day before and just got so upset. Clearly nothing I have in my closet fits, so I had gone through and 'stored' the stuff away that just doesn’t work, leaving me with like 5 things total. Not good as I have to go to the office every day!! So I headed out and figured…I’ll just buy some casual stuff at Abercrombie, and maybe some clothes 1 or 2 sizes larger than my regular at BCBG or something – 'I am NOT going to maternity stores!!!'
Well I think you all know how this goes. The sizes that are bigger are bigger everywhere. Not just the waist! I was swimming in pants and stuff was falling off my shoulders. It was so upsetting. And even in THOSE sizes, I couldn’t button the pants, and nobody at the stores knew what I was talking about when I was trying to express that my belly was going to grow but I don’t know how much – or where exactly – will it grow out? Will it grow down? I ended up leaving in tears (after buying my new big size bras at Gap Body and a pair of pajamas because I deserved it!)
Then I went to Mimi Maternity and was horrified at the selection – everything was on the floor – and everything felt like rubber or something. Flammable! On to Pea in the Pod which would have worked out but again, I just couldn’t 'get into it'.
Next day I went to Pumpkin. What a GREAT experience. The prices were the same as Pea in the Pod – I spent a fortune but feel SO much better. I got jeans, and two pair of black pants, a pair of khaki capri pants, a cute peasant top, a great light weight corduroy skirt and a black pencil skirt. Again – it cost a lot, but the things will take me almost all the way through. The sales woman was SO helpful, and they had a bathroom in there! Perfect! Anyway, I’ll go back for some sweater basics in a few weeks when the Fall line comes in. It was really worth the trip and the extra $ to have some things in my closet that I know look decent. I also bought a bunch of 'tent' shirts on sale at Banana. You’d be surprised how much the 'maternity look' is in!!!

Re: Where do you like to buy maternity clothes
I mostly bought from Motherhood and Old Navy. Pea in a Pod is great too, but out of my budget.
