Help me pick a hotel!!

FH and I aren't going on a full HM, because he goes to school the Tuesday after our wedding. We are going on a mini-vacation the weekend after, but staying on Long Island. I am tied between the Marriott in Islandia, and the Huntington Hilton. Any opinions on either? They are both the same price. My only issue is that the Huntington Hilton is right by my job, so I think I'd like a change of scenery.

Re: Help me pick a hotel!!

I'd go for the Marriott. I think I heard bad things about the Hilton - I may have it mixed up with another place but since you would probably want a change in scenerey any way I would go with the Marriott

Re: Help me pick a hotel!!

First off, if you are going to stay at the Marriott in Islandia, I would stay at the Wyndham Windwatch in Hauppauge. It is actually the old Marriott, but it is really nice. If I were you guys though, I would stay in Montauk or on the North Fork at a B&B. There is a place called the Shorecrest in Southold that is beautiful, and you can do the wineries.

Re: Help me pick a hotel!!

The Marriot is nicer, imo, but I agree with Gerty - the Wyndham is beautiful...
