I don't know the answer to your question but wanted to let you know that I am going through something similar. My dress is going to be tight around the bodice and I am afraid that whatever undergarments I wear underneath will cause the bodice to bunch at the sides. I want one smooth line but don't really know if this is going to be possible.

My dress is 100% Italian Satin and fitted through the bodice. The only thing I was told is that the 'corset'/bra can not have strings in the back because it would show but all other strapless bras would be fine, however, I was wondering the same thing since most of the strapless 'wedding' bras end above the belly button. I was thinking I would have a belly bulge when I sat down.

Can you have pads sewn in for the girlies and just wear a seamless pair of undies, in skin color so that they don't show? I got one at VS and used them for the wedding. Otherwise, you can wear a thong.

Grrr- same problem here- my dress will show everything-thin material, straight bodice- I think any undergarments will show through.

(Note: typically I skip wearing undergarments on a normal basis, especially when going out or wearing a sexy tight outfit- just always wear to work -however am flipping back and forth as the the differnce I should/should make on my wedding day)

I think we do need help from past brides and how they start to respond!!

Dino-i am the same way. i NEVER even wear stockings! however, i am worried with all the sitting/standing we will be doing that the dress will bend and if we don't have something underneath, it might not look smooth! We need advice from the brides who have worn this type of gown!

Actually, I am not really afraid to not look smooth- dont yell at me (I hate when paople do that; I am not bragging) but I have a pretty good body, only weigh about 100 lbs--so the only thing I am really afraid of is people saying 'what a sl*t bride- she has nothing underneath' And if we do the garter thing- peek,peek And also kinda a gross one- but you know when the weather is hot, as will be the time of my wedding- the drip, drip!!!

In either case- we need advise!!!
