Very personal question for mommies (def. TMI)
After the birth, what happened with intimate relations between you and your DH? Is sex still a part of your life? I have been hearing some unpleasant things from various sources, such as tearing of tissue and loose of sensations, total exhaustion and therefor lack of interest, baby starting to scream just when something is about to happed etc, etc, etc! Do you feel that your sex life is nonexistent and you have to wait till the baby is 10 years old to do it with your DH again?(Can you tell there are some heavy duty baby conversations happening in my house?)

Re: Very personal question for mommies (def. TMI)
i honestly am not sure how this will all work after the baby comes but i can say that the pregnancy even effects your intimate relations. i think you have to make time for each other and make your relationship a priority. without that i can see why it can easily crumble.i am curious what the BTDT moms will say.

Whew, talk about a personal topic! Hahahahah!I'll give this a stab, tho....I am sure alot of mommies to be are curious and nervous about this, just as I was when I was PG.
In all honesty, sex is not something you really want to even think about for a while after the baby is born - especially if you deliver v a g i n a l l y. For me, the thought was frightening!
I was a bit scared for a while, even after the six-week post partum check up when the doc said, 'you're fine, have fun!' But, I promise you, you get over it fast and things do go back to 'normal' as far as the bedroom is concerned. In fact, I'd have to say even better in many ways!
I have found that Jeff and I share a stronger bond now than ever before - he has seen me accomplish an amazing feat (birthing a child) and with that comes a lot of respect and admiration. And, I am so appreciative of his contributions as a father - he has exceeded my expectations in his new role and that can be a very sexy thing! But, all this takes time, and you need to be patient with yourself (and hopefully hubby will be patient, too!) There is so much adjusting to do for all of you, that you cannot place unrealistic goals for yourself. It's important to make time for your partner and yourself....the rest just falls into place. You don't have to rush to resume intercourse...you can be more creative in sharing intimacy, too.

Personally for me, I found more awkwardness in getting used to my body again. It takes awhile before you really feel like yourself again and that is something that you need to have patience with also.
One good tip - use the baby's nap time wisely!
There's no point in waiting until evening or nighttime, when you are likely to be completely exhausted!

I'll just say that the 6 week post-partum 'waiting period' is definitely making us a tad anxious!!
Personally, I think it will be better than ever since we've grown closer (if that was possible
) w/ the birth of Sean. I told DH today: 3 weeks down, 3 to go!!
I can't believe my
is 3 weeks old already!!
