Wedding Bands (music), where do i even start

This is my first time here, so I hope i do this right.
I need to start looking for a band, any suggestions? or recommendations?
Any help would be great. I don't even know where to start.

This is probably a silly question but do you mean band (as in music) or band as in to wear on your finger?

Try looking at Franklin Wayne Music... they have a lot of different bands to choose from, all very talented.

No problem just didn't want to write a long post and have you looking for something else.

I would start by contacting a number of different bands or companies and see when they are showcasing and see if you can get videos or cds to start - then I would go and see any of the bands you are interested in - I think seeing the bands live is the best way to do it - b/c then you can compare them in person -

If you love R&B, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Motown, you may want to call our band, Midnight Magic Orchestra. They are totally awesome and they have a video to view. Also, workable price=wise. They use separate sound technicians and all their musicians are lead vocalists.

Robluvsme has a good list...I would do a search (upto) on each of these bands and look for actual reviews from weddings

We are using Body Heat! www.bodyheatmusic.com. We went to a lot of band showcases and went with Body Heat! WE love them!

go to www.currentaffairmusic.com that is who we are using they are awesome they do frank sinatra and opera during dinner and they also do shows at jones beach so you can hear them before you decide to use them. they are awesome. we saw them at a wedding and even before we were engaged we said when we get married we want them to play at our wedding.

I am using the Projekt-they are incredible! I also liked Paris and Body Heat. You should call and find out when they are showcasing and check them out. Paris and the Projekt are part of Soundcheck Entertainment and I think Body Heat are independent. Good luck, let me know if you need any #'s!
