they have really good food and do weddings

when u walk in there is a big grandfather clock and old chairs, etc....... is this the place you mean?

15th and West is the Nassau County Bar Association. I don't think there are any other places in that vicinity that it could be. I've only been there for bar or work related things, but I haven't heard anything bad about it. It's not your typical reception hall, though.

Do a search - someone got married there and was v. happy. I like that it is not a catering hall. I think they said the food was very good and was like $80 per head or something like that. But maybe it was Phillip Stone as the caterer and the caterer was switching. Not sure myself.

I got married there! What do you need to know? BTW, Philip Stone Caterer (the one with the great food mentioned above) no longer caters there. I was his last wedding at that site. It is now a new caterer and the price went up dramatically (a friend of my mother's checked it out).

I looked at this place for my first wedding and decided against. I also went to a wedding there about two years ago and I wasn't crazy about it. The ceremony was there too and it was just very dark and dingy feeling. The ceilings in the reception room are very low so it makes you feel closed in and I remember the cocktail hour food not being great.

Also, the 'brial suite' was downsatirs and basically all it was, was a couch in the basement. It was very musty and dark too.

Maybe they have renovated it recently because this was March 2001.

Just my opinion!

Andrews caters there I believe now..........
I have been to many functions there and the food has always been good

It's also not technically the Old Courthouse, it is just behind the Old Courthouse. It is the bar association's building.
