English Tea Party Theme for Shower

My daughter is marrying a man from England & has mentioned that she thinks a tea party theme would be fun. Anyone have any ideas for a location? Thanks for any help.

what a cute idea!
i love it!
i spent a semester in london during college and when my mom came to visit we went to have high tea together! so that's a sentimental idea for me!

unfortunately, i have no idea where to have it!

yes i have several! There is an awesome place called T Salon and Emporium on 20th Street in Manhattan... there is another place called Lady Mendl's on Irving Place which is pricey but GORGEOUS.

I actually did a bridal shower for a friend of mine at the Plaza Hotel Palm Court. They do a tea there every day. The prices were VERY reasonable! We had a lovely time and the setting was beautiful. The staff there was also great and SO nice. You will need a minimum amount of people to reserve a table, since they usually dont take reservations. We had 10 people and they were very accomodating.

I love the idea!!! What about a nice, small coffee shop? There are some nice, fancy coffee shops. Regretfully, none come to mind though

That may be an idea though.

I'm thinking of having a tea for my bridal party at Robinson's Tea Room in Stony Brook. Its a really cute place and I now they do showers.

I think there are a few places that have tea parties on Long Island. Do a Google search for tea on LI.

I love the idea and actually hinted to my mom that I wouldn't mind having a tea party shower.

I second Robinson's Tea House in Stony Brook. I use to go there all the time and I have been to two showers there. It is lovely and the perfect setting for your party. Not sure about the prices though??
