Reception Hall Ideas
Thanks for the info on PJCC. Any other suggestions for reception halls? We are fairly flexible with date (would perfer not the winter) but we do need a Saturday (70% out of towners as guests) most likely evening but not ruling afternoon out, for 180-200 people. FH would like waterfront but thats not mandatory. We dont want to spend more than 110pp (including tax & Ser Charge) As I said we are getting married in W Babylon But willing to travel up to 50 minutes! Thanks for all the help. This is a great way to get some ideas!

Re: Reception Hall Ideas
Chateau La Mer is a great place. They are $95. There is also John Anthony's, which is $93. There are alot of reasonable places. I ma having trouble because I only want water. I think I ma leaning toward Chateau LaMER, they have all new management and redid th eplace. It looks GREAT!!. Theer is also the Bridgeview , which is beautiful. The only problem in the summer they have a club that opens at 12:00, so your wedding has to be done by 10:00. My church is set already so I can't get married (it is July 16) there because I don't want to be rushed out by the club. If you want the spring or fall that place is great and reasonable. It is $95 a person. Good Luck!!!

Re: Reception Hall Ideas
I can say I live a few blocks from Chateau Le Mer and it is pretty nice. My cousin got married there and the food was good and so was the service there was nothing to complain about. And the location on the water is beautiful especially in July! The only reason I dont want to get married there is because living so close I have been there probably about 10 times for various events. Good Luck. Thanks for the ideas

Re: Reception Hall Ideas
I am a big fan of Chateau La Merin Lindenherst. Beautiful view of the open bay, great food and service and a brand new atmosphere and management!I have also been to Riviera in Massapequa. Very nice. A more 'country' look but nice. Land's end is also very nice but a little more east and a bit pricey.

Re: Reception Hall Ideas
You should definitely check out Captain Bills, disregard the funny name, the hall is beautiful, and waterfront! They can easily hold to 250 .Captain Bill's

Check out Windows on the lake or the new Inn at Eastwind would be nice too.

Re: Reception Hall Ideas
We are getting married at the Middle Island CC. It's exit 66 off LIE. It may be a little far, but its defintiely worth going to see. We absolutely fell in love when we saw it the first time. Carol is the person to speak to-- she is ultra sweet and so easygoing and flexible. If you want anything special she will totally bend over backwards to give u what you want. Phone # is 631-924-3000. It's not on the water but its on a really nive golf course and they have a pretty stone bridge to take pics on. We are having our wedding on a saturday night and its $71.53 pp, including tax and gratuity!

Re: Reception Hall Ideas
I got married at Lands End...its a bit higher than your budget...but if you get married in March or Nov they could probably come down a bit..also try John Anthony's, the Harbor Club, Atlantica, San Souci (might be too small)
