Re: Post Your Favorite Cocktail Recipes

A simple Strawberry Champagne Punch - crowd pleaser

Ingredients
1 (750 milliliter) bottle champagne, chilled
2 liters ginger ale, chilled
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen strawberries, partially thawed

Directions
1 In a large punch bowl, combine champagne, ginger ale and strawberries. Stir gently and serve.

My most common party drink are margaritaa and DH makes great Caiparinas (sp? - sugar, rum and lots of limes)

Re: Post Your Favorite Cocktail Recipes

Two of my favorite summer drinks (and this coming from someone who hardly drinks)

1.) Kool-Aid

Cranberry Juice
Southern Comfort
Ammeretto

It's probably a shot or half shot of the alcohol - it tastes just like strong cherry Kool-Aid.

2.) Hummer

Similar to a mudslide, it's Hagen Dasz Ice Cream (vanilla), Kahluha and Rum, blended. Yum.

Re: Post Your Favorite Cocktail Recipes

I can't wait for the holidays already, this is the longest summer ever!

Calypso Punch

Ingredients:
1 bottle red wine
½ pt/250ml apple juice
½ pt/250ml pineapple juice
¼ pt/150ml lime juice (optional)
2 cinnamon sticks (broken into 3)
1½tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 bay leaf,
1oz/25g soft brown sugar
slices of citrus fruit.

Directions:
1. Warm the wine, fruit juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, bay leaf and sugar over a low heat, stirring frequently until almost boiling.
2. Remove from heat and leave to infuse for at least 1 hour (the longer it is left to infuse, the stronger the flavours become).
3. Return to heat, add fruit slices and bring close to the boil again, adding sugar to taste. (At this stage you can also add 1tbsp/15ml of your favourite liqueur or spirit, if you wish)
4. Pour into a warmed punch bowl and serve in goblets with the slices of fruit and a piece of cinnamon.

Re: Post Your Favorite Cocktail Recipes

gin...and...tonic....lol

thats always a big hit at out family parties...but only with tanguaray...its funny to see people go to the bar for one thing and then see the tanguaray and change their mind...

as for a party mix...sangria is my choice..

if its in the morning...mimosas (champagne and OJ)

for my shower they made punch..OJ and pineapple juice (1/2 gallon each)...orange sherbert...frozen strawberried (for ice...put fresh strawberries in tupperware with water and plop into punch)...and champagne (or gingerale for virgin style)
