My sister got her dress at David's Bridal and it was very pretty. That was 10 years ago, but I'd imagine it's like any sale. You might find a real treasure!

Re: davids bridal $99 sale... are the dresses worth looking at?
i used to work at David's Bridal here in CA. There aren't too many dresses at the $99 price, but other dresses are discounted pretty well. The only thing I didn't like about it is that you have to buy off the rack if your size is there. Maybe I'm being prissy, but I'd rather have a new dress that hadn't been tried on again and again. BUT, if they don't have your dress size in stock, or the color you want, they'll order it. I would check it out.

Well I went to check out davids even though I knew I'd probably not find anything there I'd want- and yes- it ws a horrible experience- no one helped me really - it was so packed and filthy- I had nightmares that evening from my day there. I want to say stay away from there but I guess you never know and have to form your own opinion.Did this help you? lol

Re: davids bridal $99 sale... are the dresses worth looking at?
i would avoid going during the $99 sale.... unless you go at an off-time (not evenings or weekends). i went to davids just to try on lots of different styles and ended up discovering that the dress i thought would look good on me was all wrong. i would never have discovered this if it wasn't for my two-hour-try-on-everything marathon. i ended up getting my dress elsewhere, but would highly suggest a place like davids where you can try on lots of different styles of dresses (in your size no less!) best of luck!

I had a horrible experience at David's myself as well. very unhelpful, boardline rude.nasty..
I think if they had just poor service before I bought something I cringe to see their after-sell service when they already had my money.

When I went to DAvids during the 99.00 sale (not on purpose--LOL_ I found some really pretty dresses...I am plus size and they had 3 in my size for 99..but becae I do not like how strapless looks on me, I decided against them...but they do have a few for each size, as well as some older ones discounted to.....you hav eto check them tho becuase in my experience the saleslady did not offer it to me....but thats because she wants to make the sale...but def. worth checking out!

Re: davids bridal $99 sale... are the dresses worth looking at?
I am with Nora on this one - I found 'the one' dress at David's Bridal, but they actually had to replace it for me after they did the alterations (my long DB story is back if you want to search for it)There is a huge benefit that you can try on dresses in your size, not a 'sample size'. Also, not all of the dresses have been tried on - they had more than one of the dress I wanted, so mine is brand new.

If you are looking for a cheap dress, I got my Maggie Sottero as a sample in BEAUTIFUL BRIDE for $200!!!! I loved the dress, and they were discontinuing her line in their store. They have tons of samples that are almost always on sale. They are in Lynrook, FM me if you need more info.
