Re: Prayer of the Faithful

I do not know it, so not sure if this is it???
Prayer of the Faithful

First Sunday of Lent (Year A)

Celebrant:

Let us pray that God will help us to use the season of Lent well, so that his will may be done on earth, as in heaven.

Deacon or Reader:

Let us pray for the Holy Father, the College of Cardinals, the Bishops and all clergy. May the whole Church grow in holiness during this season of grace. [pause] Lord, hear us.

Let us pray for the leaders of the nations and for all peoples in the world. May the sacrifice of Christ inspire men and women with a spirit of generous love towards their neighbours. [pause] Lord, hear us.

Let us pray for our parish. May we deepen our spiritual lives by practising the disciplines of the season of Lent and may those preparing for Baptism be strengthened in their resolve. [pause] Lord, hear us.

Let us pray for the sick and the weak. May Christ strengthen them in His service and heal their pain. We pray especially for … [pause] Lord, hear us.

Let us pray for the souls of the faithful departed, especially… May they be cleansed of all sin and come to see the vision of Our Lord in glory. [pause] Lord, hear us.

[in England & Wales]
Let us ask Mary, Mother of the Church, to pray that we may be ready to welcome her Son. Hail Mary.

In silence, let us offer our personal intentions.

Celebrant:

Father, help your Church to draw on the many sources of grace you offer during this season of Lent, so that we may more clearly proclaim the saving death of your Son to the world. We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

Re: Prayer of the Faithful

Call the priest and get a copy from him.

I've been in a few weddings and most of the time the person doing it doesn't get the stuff to read until the rehursal.

Re: Prayer of the Faithful

We wrote our own prayer of the faithful to include our own wishes and our families. We had our maid of honor and best man read the prayer.

for example, 'for our grandmothers, mary and lida, that they continue to enjoy good health and can continue to watch their families grow, we pray to the Lord'. 'for our friends and their families who have treated us like one of their own, we pray to the Lord' and 'for so and so and so and so who have passed away, that they enjoy the peace and happiness of eternal life.....'\
