Need help fleshing out theme idea, please!

I just came up with an interesting theme/color scheme idea that I'm trying to flesh out - would love ANY opinions/ideas.

I know I want my colors to be a peachy-pink (the color of my favorite roses and gerbera daisies), white and silver. We're getting married (99% sure) at Vineyard Caterers, but my FSIL had a vineyard theme so I don't want to make that my main theme. We plan on having roses and gerberas for flowers in our colors, but my sister had a daisy/gerbera themed wedding last May so I don't want that to be our main theme. The dilema: finding a theme that will incorporate the vineyard, our colors, our flowers, and our date and time (June 11 evening) and then it hit me - a Midsummer Night's Dream. I'm playing with all kinds of ideas from Shakespearean quotes on our invites, to table names taken from character names in the play, to lots of candles, twinkle lights, and greenery for an enchanted forest kind of feel. Plus, it seems pretty unique for a theme.

What do you all think? Does it seem too wacky? Have any ideas or suggestions you can share? I'd appreciate any help!

I think it's a great idea...sounds very detailed. I can't think of anything though...I'm tapped....but what about the theme being more general.....gardens....fairies....glittery...peach works well into this....very whimsical and airy....very elegant. Bubbles to blow....candle holders that are cut glass so that the light dances, prisms to create the rainbows, then you can incorporate any flowers in the peachy-pink, light purple, white, cream, sage green, pale yellow colors.

I just read 'Shopaholic Ties the Knot' and the bride does a Sleeping Beauty/Enchanted Forest theme. Its a bit over the top in the book (at the Plaza with an overpriced wedding coordinator) but you may get some ideas from it. And, it was cute book you may enjoy.

Great idea. Its fun and different. I like how you incorporated so many pieces of your wedding into developing your theme.

Awesome idea!

Will you have a flower girl? You can make her a fairy and she can sprinkle 'fairy dust' instead of flowers. That would be so cute!!!

Thanks for all of your opinions and ideas! I really love the cut glass candle holders and rainbow prisms idea, and I'm going to have to check out that book! I was thinking of having 2 flower girls with possibly some small fairy wings - maybe have one sprinkle 'fairy dust' and the other rose petals. And maybe Medelssohn's 'Wedding March' from 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' as the recessional. Just saw a great centerpiece idea on another thread (the ones with the branches and hanging candles). It's so exciting thinking of ideas! Now if I can only sell my FH on the idea! :o)

That sounds like an awesome idea. I really love the fairies and pixie dust. You could really go crazy with that, especially at the Vineyard cuz it will tie right in.

I am wondering if you still are on the site being that your wedding was so long ago. I just thought of an enchanted forest theme for my wedding next year and when I typed it in, your blog came up. I was wonderfing if you did this theme and how everything worked out and if you can share any ideas or pictures with me....Thanks
