How many photos in Wedding Album??

How many photos are you getting in your wedding album? I'm using Gray Studios and their basic package is 50 pics. I could include more...60...70 and obviously the prices increases.

I think you can pick however much you want..I think we are doing 36 in the album.

im doing 30(a low amount)
it depends how often you think you will look at the book.. you could always stick with the 50 album and later add more pictures to it

My package came with a 50 page album but I found it really hard to pick which ones I wanted in mine. I ended up upgrading to a 83 page album. 66 pages are one picture to a page and 17 pages have more than one picture (either 2, 3 or 4). I can't wait to get it back.

One word of advice to those who have not signed their photographer contracts...try to negotiate as many pictures as possible for your albums. I had about 350 proof and it is SO hard to narrow it down!

We used Cassarino Studios they were great but take an ridicliously long, long time to get the entire package completed. We had wallets in our package but did not want them since my guests just put them in their drawer or in a box but never actually put them in their wallets. Thus, we figure it would be a waste to order 200 wallets for our thank you cards. (We ordered a different type of thank you cards with a photo that was not the wallet slip-in type.) To compensate on not wanting wallets we got our main album from 50 photos to 60 photos without any extra charges at 8' X 10'. Our parent albums were 16 photos at 5' X 7'.

So, the amount of photos in your wedding album depends on your package as well as the studio you're using.

we are doing 75 with Patken and they told us that was alot. I figure that I might as well sign the contract with alot of photos and get the price now b/c I will probably wind up adding them in the end anyway..

I know what I get in my package--(Gray actually includes a lot). I'm just trying to figure out if I REALLY need more than 50 photos in the album. We're getting our engagement photo taken next week and will finalize the contract then.

Of course Gray SUGGESTS (ever so nicely) that we should take more than the standard 50. I know it's just a sales tactic to get you to pay more $. But of course I start wondering if other people REALLY DO have 60 or 90 (!) photos in their album?

It sounds like 50-60 is pretty standard #.

We have 64 in our album, but i'm sure we are going to go over, we cant decide on which pics to put in. Our parent albums have 24 pics

our album has custom matting, so we can have over 100 photos in our album. i'm really looking forward to designing it...once we actually get married and have our photos taken
