i hate office brown noses

ugh
this guy calls me to 'make sure his vacation is correct on his paycheck' - it lists the hours you have taken already on the check.

I said Yes why wouldn't they be - so he says 'Well so and so (aka BROWNOSE secretary) has been spreading the word that it is being recorded innacurately. So I said 'Oh really, she is saying that I record it inaccurately OR that the payroll dept does on the checks when I send it to them?' (I'm in HR)

He was like..Um I think she means payroll ... He didn't know what to say! First of all if she thinks I am doing it wrong she can confront me, but I know that I am not and that when I send it to payroll it gets double checked again! Annoying people.

Dod what I do...I call the person on speaker phone and confront them.

I usually get the real story before I even pick up the phone...but it corners these 'annoying' people and makes them tell the truth.
