Question for all the ladys and a picture of E-Party cake

I am having a cake made and my Mom said that my fiances name should go first. But all along other people have been telling me until we are married that my name should go first. What do all you girls think. Also I have included a rough computer picture of my cake. It is a little blurry because the hearts were from my invite and enlarged so much.

Not sure what is standard but I tend to usually put FI name first on cards, etc.

Beautiful cake idea- I have always been told 'ladies first'. The only time I have been told to put the man first is when two people are married and you addressing something to be mailed to them. This is just what My FI and I have always been brought up to believe . . .

Thank you I thought that is what I was told. It is the girls name first until you get married. Something like the women is usually responsible for all the social functions, and she plans most of it. The same reason that the brides name goes first on the invite. Thank you, I really cannot wait to see this cake. I designed it but the girl who makes it is amazing and she uses realy betty crocker cake so it tastes so good.

I also think it's whatever you prefer. When writing cards to DH's family, I always sign 'Tom and Eileen' but to my family, it's 'Eileen and Tom'. For when both familys are mixed, I think I always put 'Eileen and Tom'. I never knew there was an etiquette, and you know what... I don't want to know. I have a feeling it's probably something $exist, which I won't agree with, so I don't even want to know about it.

I emailed my mom the picture of the cake and the invite and she showed a women at her work, and of course she said everyone started putting in the .02. I told her I would leave it up to the LIWedding girls.

Hi Bridget,

I think it it should be B & J. But you know what, I had 2 cakes (this was a mistake) and they put Phil's name first. I didn't even notice, Ijust looked at my pics to find out how we had it.

We had one cake with raspberry fillling and one withe chocolate mouse filling. It actually worked out better have the 2 cakes even though it was a mistake.
