Beach Brides - PLEASE READ

Don't forget to check the tide schedule prior to selecting a date. My mother reminded me of this last night and although it greatly narrows our dates down, it is a major factor to consider.

Either ask the the harbor master in your area for a tide schedule or visit www.saltwatertides.com. Make sure that it will be high tide 1-2 hours after the start of the reception. The tides change approx every 6.5 hours.

Re: Beach Brides - PLEASE READ

We got married on the ocean and the tide thing did not effect us. I think it mostly applies to the north shore.

I am getting married on a North Shore beach! I didn't even think to check the tides!

It says that hight is at 1:51PM and Low is at 8:06 (I think?)PM. My ceremony is at 6:00 reception at 6:30PM! I hope it's not too stinky!!!

Re: Beach Brides - PLEASE READ

I am not a beach bride, but I live on the south shore, a mile away from the beach & depending where you are low tide can be very overwhelming. Especially if people are eating the smell may affect how hey can enjoy their food. Best advice - go to your location during low tide & see if your area is effected
