I just had some of my wedding cake a year later
We just had a nice dinner at home and some of our wedding cake to celebrate our anniversary at home. We were in Vegas on the actual day. I cant believe how good it was. It was yummy, but I think I over did it and had too much

We couldn't wait to eat it after the wedding since we really didn't have a chance to taste it and had it as soon as we returned from our HM.
Yep!, it was tasty too!!!!! But now we don't have anything to eat for our 1st anniv!

the black out ruined our cake!! We didn't get power back until 5pm friday, all of the icing was melted off of thecake and dripping all over the freezer. So, no cake for us in October!!:(

I was thinking of buying a mini cake too. I don't think I'll be able to get DH to eat the one in the freezer. Its covered in freezer burn.

Re: I just had some of my wedding cake a year later
Congrads! We too just recently celebrated our one year anniversary as well. We went to dinner at our wedding reception since it is a restaurant and met with the banquet manager for a photo with her. We also asked for a replica of our wedding cake which they were nice enough not to charge us as it was their anniversary gift. So, we got a fresh wedding cake replica, the outside is different with the color. However, the inside is the same exact filling. We compromised on our actual wedding cake by cutting it 12 pieces for 12 months of the year to prevent it from spoilage and/or freezer burn. We would have one piece for each month and saving the biggest piece for the one year mark. However, our replica cake was fresher and the taste is exactly as we remembered on our wedding day.
