Re: If you read the Farmer's Almanac prior to your wedding day, was it correct?

Could not be more wrong. It said torrential rain and hurricane force winds. My day was sunny and 80 degrees! (unusual for Oct)

You girls are making me feel better. My day is supposed to be cold, rainy, and snowy! I guess that wouldn't be too unusual for January though!

Re: If you read the Farmer's Almanac prior to your wedding day, was it correct?

Nope, it said on my wedding day there were going to be torrential (sp?) thunderstorms and major flooding....my day could'nt have been more beautiful! Sun shining, warm, not really humid.

Re: If you read the Farmer's Almanac prior to your wedding day, was it correct?

YES!!!! They said there would be rain like Stef's and boy did it rain that entire weekend. Sunday wound up being the nicest day of them all, we were lucky for that but we didn't get the typical fall day I was hoping for!

Re: If you read the Farmer's Almanac prior to your wedding day, was it correct?

Don't worry yourself ... I posted about this after my wedding. I was going crazy reading the farmer's almanac, weather predictions, past weather reports and you know what ... it really is undue stress. It's not necessary because we can't control the weather anyway. I'm sure your wedding will be perfect ... rain or shine!!!

Just for the record ... it was wrong for my day too.

Re: If you read the Farmer's Almanac prior to your wedding day, was it correct?

By the way - accuweather and weather.com were also dead wrong.

I literally woke up the morning of my wedding and checked the online weather to see a high likelyhood of rain. It wasnt until my MOH heard that I was freaked that she told me to look outside - it was beautiful. (although i would have prefered a colder day)

Re: If you read the Farmer's Almanac prior to your wedding day, was it correct?

My forcast was totally wrong too. It said costal storm, high winds, heavy rain and it ended up being beautiful, sunny, and unseasonally warm.

Re: If you read the Farmer's Almanac prior to your wedding day, was it correct?

If I remember correctly, the FA was correct for my day, but the local forecast couldn't have been more wrong.

The FA said we had a 17% chance of rain that day.....but the week of the wedding, the local news channels called for torrential rains and terrible weather. The morning of our wedding, it could not have been more beautiful out. We had a gorgeous sunny warm day without a cloud in the sky!!!

Re: If you read the Farmer's Almanac prior to your wedding day, was it correct?

Dead wrong. It called for thunderstorms and rain for every weekend in August, so no matter what weekend we picked it was supposed to rain.

The day was gorgeous and warm, but it wasn't too humid.
