A quick hello and a question about Sandals

Hi all! Now that I'm back in school full-time I thought I'd have more time to play on the boards...WRONG! I'm as busy as ever, if not more so. So I've been a bit MIA lately but I've been thinking of you all and just wanted to say hi.

I also wondered if any of you had ever been to any of the Sandals resorts and if so, which one(s) and what kind of deal did you get, if you don't mind my asking? DH and I want to go somewhere Caribbean (preferably not Jamaica, as I've already been) and preferably all-inclusive with MOH and her hubby either around New Years or in March for my spring break, but we are finding the rates are really high, both for the resorts and, even more so, for the flights to get there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I went to Sandals St. Lucia in June (which is their rainy season) and got 30% off. Anytime you go away during a holiday it is considered peak and the prices shoot up

Re: A quick hello and a question about Sandals

Alison, the air rates to the carribean have gone up, in general and they are most expensive around the holiday season, not just air, but a lot of carribean resorts. You may be better off waiting until march and going then (less of a peak time).

Never been to Sandals, but having looked at their rates for honeymoon we thought they were overpriced (as a general rule)

Re: A quick hello and a question about Sandals

I have been to Sandals Antigua and Sandals Bahamas. The bahamas trip was a comp trip because of all the problems we had in Antigua. I would definetely choose Bahamas over Antigua any day. We had so so many problems. Half the restaurants were closed, no bartenders at the bars(guests ended up tending bar) Cockroaches all over the rooms, etc. There was also always an armed guard right at the beach and the sandals resort making sure nobody that wasnt a guest would come on the property. We didnt like it there.
