Did you know about your Baby Shower???

or was it a surprise? It's a little upsetting because it's impossible for it to be a surprise for me since we live out of state. We can't just show up some where, you know? It takes some of the fun out of it. Did anyone else know when and where theirs was?

I know where...and I think I'll know when. It's ok with me. I t would be hard to surprise me since my family will have to travel to NJ for it!

I was TOLD that we were going out to lunch for my grandmothers birthday. When i got there i got such a shock its a wonder that I didnt go into labor right there.

We had a whole discussion about this recently. My mom wanted to tell me & avoid the surprise element, which I was against. She said that it caused too much stress during the days b/f my bridal shower to come up with a 'plan' to get me there & I was being 'uncooperative'. I told her that if she'd had a better plan, I probably would've been more cooperative!

So this is what we decided. I DEFINITELY did want to know about the planning. So I told her that Vinnie would tell me the night b/f OR the morning of the shower. This way it would be a 'surprise' of sorts, but would ease the stress of having to come up with some excuse. I also like the idea of having some time to get ready in the morning so I know I'll look halfway decent!

I thought this was a pretty good solution! good luck ....

Like you we live far away from the rest of our family so I knew about my shower. They never told me any of the details of it so that was still a surprise to me but I knew when it was.

I had NO CLUE!!! Every year in early June my friend has a b-day party for her daughter. So I showed up for her daughters b-day party only to see all my friends & family. I was COMPLETLEY shocked!!

I am not easy to surprise. So they will try really hard, come up with some plan that they think will work and then I will pretend the whole day not to know that I am going to my shower. Of course, they could surprise me if a) they held the shower in a totally weird place such as a friend's house that I go to all the time or b) if they didn't try to have a plan to get me there and Scott just decided while we were in the car to go to this place. I would know when he pulled into the parking lot, but probably not beforehand. I always just pray I don't look like hel when I walk in.
