Difference b/w Maid/Matron of Honor

I always thought a Maid was unmarried and a Matron was married. It all depeneded on their marital status. Is that correct? There have been some posts that have me confused lately.

Re: Difference b/w Maid/Matron of Honor

Matron is either married or older than the bride - was my understanding. Maid is unmarried.

JUNE:You were the one to confuse me, I thought you just wanted one of each. I'm not sure who does what. Maybe your officiant can answer that. Now, did you meet your FSIL or FH first? Isn't that weird dating your BF's bro?

Re: Difference b/w Maid/Matron of Honor

you can have whatever you want....

my matron will sign the papers because her husband is the best man.

my maid will help me with things with my dress because she will be with me with all my fittings as my matron lives in FL.

So its basically whatever you want and the Maid and Matron can work together on who will do what.

It all works out
