My Daddy Update- ETA: Good news

As you might remember, about a month ago my dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and luckily it was at it's earliest stages. (My parents live in Tx) I had already planned a trip to Texas because of my shower and a wedding which I was MOH in.

While I was there, we were able to talk to doctors about treatments and my daddy has done so much research that for him he chose the radical surgery (nerve sparing procedure). I was hoping that they would do the surgery while I was visiting, but as it turned out the earliest appointment was for October 7. I'm so sad that I can't be there for my daddy.

Well, this morning they informed my dad that they had a cancellation and will be doing his surgery tomorrow morning!! I have faith that all will turn out okay. I'm just nervous and I can't stand that I can't be there by his side to comfort him. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and I am asking that you continue to keep my dad in your prayers before you go to bed tonight. I know through the power of prayer and faith that my daddy will be okay.

Thanks again, Girls! I hope to meet all of you at any of our Future GTG so that I can thank you in person!! ( unfortunately, I can't make the Jillians. Sorry) Goodnight all!

ETA: I want to thank all of you for your kind words and keeping us in your prayers! You are the Best! I am very Grateful to all you! Your support has meant so much to me! My dad's surgery was very successful!!! They didn't have to touch his lymph nodes and as procedure the pathologist will run test on his blood to make sure it didn't spread. But, overall everything went smooth! I know that this surgical procedure is done frequently but when they have to cut someone open ...I worry about complications. So I am now relieved that hopefully the worst is over with! My dad will be in the hospital for a couple of days. Thanks, again Girls!

My FIL was diagnosed with prostate cancer about ten years ago. After surgery, treatment and lots of prayers, he is in complete recovery.

I hope that everything goes as well for your dad!
