Westbury Manor Wedding Review (as a guest)

Well for you ladies that are getting married at WM here is some input!!!

First off let me say, a wonderful time was had by all

When we walked in there was no one at the coat check. There was a guy sitting across from the coat check, but he was a cashier for the restaurant, I belive. When we asked him where the coat check attendant was he said I dont know just hang it up yourselves. ( He was not rude simply matter of fact. ) Several of the guests tired of waiting around did just that. I flagged down a server and asked her to locate the attendat, When she arrived and saw what was happening, she was not happy about it and expressed so.
My suggestion designate someone to make sure that the CC attendant is available upon your guests arrival.

The cocktail hour was nice, however it had to be moved inside last minute due to the cold and it was split into two rooms (library and atrium?). It made no difference at all to the guests. Fortunatley the B&G ate in the bridal suite, so they were able to visit guests in both rooms.

The food is fabulous!!! Without a doubt it was one of the best meals I've had at a wedding. They had one minor mistake. According to the menu on the table the salad was suposed to come after the melon, but instead they served the pastsa first.
We asked, cause we did not know if they planned on serving the salad, and the matri'd came over and said we did not make a mistake the menu's were printed wrong. The menu also listed olives and mushrooms in the salad but no at my table had any. So I dont know if the bride made a mistake or the hall, but it totally did not make a difference. But I know how much effort you ladies put into the details!!

Unfortunatley the bride became temporaily ill with a major painc attack and missed over an hour of the receptoion, The DJ and the Hall had to do some footwork to arrange the schedule they had set up but it worked out fine. The DJ did an excellent job, attempting to keep the party going, With the bride being ill it seemed as though no one wanted to enjoy the reception with out her.So when the B&G did re-enter the party it picked up full swing!!

The service was prompt at the tables anything I requested was supplied without my having to track anyone down or make a 2nd request.

Overall it was a very nice time and well done.
I doubt any on you ladies will have any complaints, nor did there appear to be any serious concerns for you to deal with.

any ? 's please feel free to ask.

Very cool, thanks for the review. How was the food at the cocktail party? Anything you thought was exceptionally good? Also did they have any Vieannese Hour? How was the wedding cake? Glad to hear you had a good time.

What were the choices for the main course. Any comments on the choices. How about the CH? Did they have the seafood boat? How did it look if they did.

Thanks!
