MOM's Surprise Party REVIEW =) (@Villa Russo's)

OK, Here's my review...

IT WAS AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything turned out perfectly !!

It was 50 of us. The restaurant was perfect. Ive been there once before and fell in love with the room and had to have it there...

I PROMISE to post pics, maybe next week. (too much going on this week...)

My mom thought she was going to a 1st Bday party with my sister and the kids.. My BIL was out of town on business to my sis asked mom to come along (and my mom knows the girl and child too) so she said 'ok i'll come' (she'll never pass up a party

).

She was BEYOND surprised. She was in shock for the first 15 minutes that she walked in. She was even more shocked to see friends that she hadnt seen in quite some time (I dig out those address books for these special occasions =)

All the guests were there in perfect timing. The food was outrageous. We had a huge c0cktail hour

and a nice sit down dinner...

It was like 75% Italian music, by demand

, lots of great dance music, a few party animals dancing the whole time

My mom danced her little tush off.. My dad minged around the room as usual, making sure everyone was personally greeted, with his little scotch in hand

We all had a GREAT TIME. IT was a 5 hour party, so we got to enjoy a nice length of time with all our family and friends...

My sister and I did our famous 'at every occasion' LONG-tear jerker speech..

I HIGHLY recommend Villa Russo's (in Queens). Excellent service, incredible food, gorgeous atmosphere.. Our DJ was EXCELLENT, since we've used him @ numerous occasions in the family. we've gotten to trust him and call him back every time.

I can post his info if anyone is interested.

I think I covered it all. Its sad to see such a fun memorable, special night come to an end..

For the little 'memento' table...
-I made collage of photos (the party was in lavendar theme. didja guess that one) On it I wrote Happy Birthday... Cara Moglie (Dear Wife)
Dolce Nonna (Sweet Grandmother) Preziosa Mamma (Precious Mother) and put the appropriate pics by the photos.
-I had the invitation in a frame (it was all 4 grandchildren, saying 'IT's NONNA's BIRTHDAY!'
-A sweet family member made a money tree.
-I had a photo of my grandparents.
-Couldnt get their wedding photo out of their bedroom, thought she would have caught on

-Party favors..

Anna, it sounds like a WONDERFUL, special party! You are really a class act, and I can't imagine that ANY party you throw wouldn't follow suit!

I can't wait to see pictures!

I'm so glad 'You-Know-Who' was there. It must be very hard for a person going through tough personal times to socialize with people who know them as half of a team. I'm sure seeing you all was very comforting for her!
