Spending money on the Honeymoon?

We are going to Aruba for 10 days. (Not all inclusive) How much is a good amount to bring with you? I am getting married on Columbus day (7days from now) and am trying to figure out all of this last minute stuff.

I would bring some cash, but not too much. If you have an ATM card I think it owuld be better to have that and take cash as you need it. FH and I never bring a lot of cash to places we've never been, in fear of it being stolen. JMO!!! Have a great honeymoon!!

We go to Aruba every year & never do all inclusive. I'd say $2k is good. Or $1500 & have the ATM card if needed.

We usually start out with $400-500 when we leave the house then use our ATM during the trip.

We do the same as Christine when FH and I go on vacation. We don't like to carry around alot of cash. We also use Amex alot. I feel safer using that than using our ATM cards.

you could get travelers checks? then you cash them at the local bank, must have id, refunded if stolen...

I am not sure...we are going to Hawaii and whatever we decide to bring we'll bring $200 in cash and the rest in American Express Travellers checks.

We went to Aruba (not all inclusive) and havoing never been & hearing that it could be expensive to eat there we took...

$2000 cash & $3000 in Amex Travelers checks.

We came home with about $1000 in Cash and alot in Travelers checks too (we still have some left).

BTW we went for a week.
