1 year from today and SO far behind!

I can't believe that one year from today, I will be getting married!! The last 6 months of our engagement went by so quickly, and I can only imagine how quickly the next year (and all of our money) will disappear! All I've got is my hall and my DJ. No photo/video, no flowers, no dress, no BM dresses, no honeymoon, no nuttin'!

I can't believe it's only 1 year away. Does anyone remember when a year was a long time? Time certainly does go by faster the older I get!

Dont worry you have plenty of time, everything will fall into place. We are getting married in just over 8 months and we have our hall and DJ and I have my dress...thats all so dont worry! (we dont even have a BP yet to pick out BM dresses )

dont worry, some people plan there whole wedding in less than a year! i know someone who planned a whole, very large wedding, in three months! just relax and go with the flow, you can do it!!

Kelly, I'm so glad that there are other people out there with less time than me and more stuff to do! LOL

I'm not so much worried about not finding anyone for my date, as I am about finding people for my date that I can afford! It's much easier to plan a wedding in a short amount of time when money is no object!

I planned my entire wedding in 8 months! You have TONS of time.

I agree with the affordability thing! There are tons of vendors but some are 5000 and some are 3000. And not only do you want someone you can afford but you want to be confident that htey will do a good job!
I have tons to do and everyone keeps pestering me to get things done but honestly my FI and I are the WORST decision makers, we blame on the fact that we are both the youngest children in our families!
We are basically planning our whole wedding and buying a house in 10 months so I can understand the sound of the clock in the distance when you are sitting with a vendor that you like, only to find out that they are 2000 over your budget!!

Happy One year!! Congrats! It will go fast i am now at 9 months and I cant believe it. Just start doing some thhings and it will al fall int o place.

Hugs..... no worries. You'll probably go light speed and finish major stuff when you get a chance.

That's how I was able to finish stuff up. Right now Im too busy at the office to think wedding stuff. August was a good time for get to get a head start.

It's one year for me too!!! And all I have is the hall and band. I'm trying to get a photographer, but don't know who to go to.... I'm looking at dresses tomorrow. I can only use 1 of 2 florists, so I don't think that will be that stressful. I think we have plenty of time for planning our weddings.

Don't worry - you still have plenty of time!! I would suggest for you to start looking at dresses and photographers next. (Dress shopping is soo much fun!!)

Thanks ladies! Nora, yes, I'm still blaming you, whether it's your fault or not. However, if Samantha steals whoever I look at next, I can let you off the hook and blame her.

I'm lucky since I really don't have to worry about some things - my gown is most likely going to be custom made for me for free (or will be very cheap and off the rack from a designer's personal stash), and the BM dresses will be free as well. I don't need limos. My mother will probably be doing my personal flowers and all I'll need are ceremony decor and centerpieces. So really, the only big things I have left are the photo/video and flowers and everything else will come along. It's the booking of the vendors that's worrying me. Everyone books so darn quickly!

Anyway, thanks again...you're all awesome!

Congrats on your 1 year anniversary until the wedding! You still have 3 more months than I do and I only have my hall... don't worry, you'll be fine..
