Romantic Restaurants,Lounges,and Good City Hotels?

Where in the city is good for romance? You know, candlelight and pretty? Any restaurants and lounges you girls know of? Also, where are some nice, not insanely expensive hotels (like the Waldorf) that you can stay at? the computer sites don't tell you much! Thanks!

Re: Romantic Restaurants,Lounges, and Good City Hotels?

My FH took me to Acapella's which is on Huston St. on our first date. It is a little on the high side, but it depends if you drink or not and what you guys order. It is a small place but the food is so good. Scalleta is another restaurant that FH and I go to alot. It is also northern italian and that place I think is on 73rd by central park, Gabriella's is on the corner I am not exactly sure of the address I dont drive into the city much so i dont pay attention. il Becco I think is 49th street is really good and the prices are reasonable. I am sure there are more but I can't think of anymore right now. As far as hotel I would call around. Hope this helps

You have FM

As for hotels, try looking at expedia.com

The Mariott Millenium is downtown and I remember they had decent deals at one point when it reopened. It's way downtown near Financial District.

I don't know of any other romantic hotels in NYC - there's the Plaza! LOL

Try One If By Land, Two If By Sea on Barrow St. Very romantic.
