Working out consecutive days....
Does it matter if you can only work out 4-5 times a week but the days are consecutive?

Re: Working out consecutive days....
Do you mean weights or running? You shouldn't do weights consecutive days, you need to let your muscles recoup.
I would just worry about an injury if you pushed too hard without a break in between.

Re: Working out consecutive days....
You can do weights in consecutive days if you train each muscle once per week. I have been doing this for 8 years now and I have only seen improvement in muscle tone.My days are like this
Day 1 chest/triceps
Day 2 legs
Day 3 shulders/biceps
Day 4 back
I either do it consecutive, or put cardio in between, or rest one or two days between each day.
It really depends on what you are training and when. Hope this helps.

Re: Working out consecutive days....
Working out 4-5 consecutive days is not a problem as long as you're alternating muscle groups.

Thanks girls! I actually meant running. Sorry I wasnt more specific. I do weights on alternate days but with running when I plan my week sometimes my schedule doesnt allow me to skip a day inbetween or I wouldnt get all the days in.

Re: Working out consecutive days....
I work out consecutive days, as long as I am not sore or not feeling up to par.

Re: Working out consecutive days....
If you are strength training on consecutive days, do different muscle groups. You only need 3 days of strength training (ever muscle). So you can train mon, wed, fri or sat ever muscle and the rest of the days do just cardio. But again depends on how you train. If you don't have time to do all muscle groups each time, then you will need to train daily, but again you don't want to do same group the next day (AM I MAKING SENSE???)I try to have people look at exrcise like this...BE ACTIVE...Unless you have a job that has you 'honeestly' active/cardiovascularly for over 30-minutes at a time, then you need to 'be active' on your own. We call that exercising. If you only exercise 3 times a week, that is less than half of the days in a week. So 4 days should be your minimum!!! 4 better, 5 ideal, 6 GREAT!!!!!
if you need more explaining, let me know.
