UPDATED:Left my e-ring at home today and am very upset...

I rushed out of the house today and forgot ALL of my jewelry including my watch and e-ring. I'm so upset I wanted to get off the bus and go home to get it but I would have been really late for work. I called FH but he was sleeping and didn't pick up the phone when I left a message. I want him to drive into the city today and give it to me (before he leaves for work at 4:30pm). I know this is weird of me but I feel lost without my ring- it's only the 2nd time in 7 months that I haven't worn it.

Re: Left my e-ring at home today and am very upset...

I left my ring home once and kept thinking that no one would know that I was engaged or people would think something was wrong. Then I realized it's not about the ring, it's about the love. Do you have any ribbon or string where you are? Cut and tie a piece around your finger. It will be your temporary ring for the day

Re: Left my e-ring at home today and am very upset...

I don't get upset when I forget it, only when my FH knows I don't have it. That really bothers him. I can't wait until we are married to see how many times he actually leaves his ring at home.

Re: Left my e-ring at home today and am very upset...

I feel the same - like everyone will be thinking something's wrong and for some reason I feel like if I leave it home, it' bad luck. I know it's weird because when I'm home, I usually don't wear it because I'll be cooking, cleaning, showering or something like that.

Re: Left my e-ring at home today and am very upset...

I know how you feel - I hate it when I leave the house without my ring. On a few occasions when I realized I forgot it not too far from home, I drove back to get it.

I love the ribbon idea too!

You'll be re-united with your ring again soon, don't be too upset! (Absence makes the heart grow fonder.)

Re: Left my e-ring at home today and am very upset...

I never take mine off b/c it's a little tight around the middle of the finger and hurts to take off, but it does fit fine. If I made it bigger, it would be too loose, and I'd have to worry about it coming off when I'm doing something. Don't be too upset about it. While it is beautiful, it is just a ring, and it's not going to jinx your relationship or something if you go without it for one day.

Re: UPDATED:Left my e-ring at home today and am very upset...

What a great guy.

I wore a ring on my finger prior to my engagement ring. I sort of got used to feel. Before I leave the house.. I usually rub my hands to crack my knuckles. FH thinks it's silly but it's the way I remember if Im wearing my watch and rings.

I do it without thought. I don't know what I'd do if I forgot it. FH works in Suffolk, I work in the City and we live in Nassau. No WAY he could drop it off.

I try hard not to forget
