So Excited! I bought my dress!

After much hemming and hawing and trying on multiple dresses, I have bought my dress! I went to the Bridal Garden a week ago in New York City and tried on a gorgeous Ulla Maija dress that I fell in love with immediately. But I wasn't 100% about purchasing the dress. I put the dress on hold. Note: If you go to the Bridal Garden in NYC you can put a dress on hold for $100. If you get the dress, the $100 goes towards the purchase. If you don't, because the Bridal Garden benefits the not-profit, Sheltering Arms, the $100 becomes a donation to Sheltering Arms. I went back during the week and brought one of my bridesmaids who was great and helpful and supportive. Also during this second trip, I found out more about the dress. The Bridal Garden has a combination of dresses that were either samples or overstock from bridal salons and designers as well as dresses that were previously worn by brides and donated. My dress came directly from Ulla Maija and was probably a sample dress. I have to say, I found the ladies at the Bridal Garden very helpful. They were very knowledgeable about all of the dresses and the designers and they both have design backgrounds, so they could tell you what can and cannot be done to a dress.

So after not being able to think of anything else but the dress all week long, I went back today and bought it. They are holding it for me until later this week, so I can make arrangements for cleaning and alterations. I'm leaning more and more towards going to Madame Paulette's (Thanks eroxgirl for your help!)

I wonder if you know the name of the style of your dress?

I looked through the designers website.. very nice dresses.. I really liked the Suzanne.

I won't be able to post a pic of the dress until later this week.

I wonder if you know the name of the style of your dress

The name of the dress is 'Cassie', but it is not on Ulla Maija's website.

I am so relieved and happy. Now I can move onto other items and focus on school. Yeah, I'm working, going to grad school part time and planning a wedding.
