ADA Photo Question
A vendor (not a photographer) told me that her friend used ADA, and today (3 years after getting married) she still doesn't have her pictures. This is the only negative thing I have heard about them, and certainly the reviews here have been generally positive. Has anyone heard anything like this about ADA??? or anything else negative? Feel free to FM me with a response.

Re: ADA Photo Question
My friend used ADA for her wedding 2 years ago and hated them. She still doesn't have her pictures, she said the proofs were horrible, and that ADA were liars (they told her her pictures were ready and when they weren't even close). From listening to her experience, I don't recommend using them!

Re: ADA Photo Question
My MOH used them and had no problems at all. She hot her proofs, photos, and video and they all came out beautiful. They are the house vendors for several catering halls so I think that must say something about them.

Re: ADA Photo Question
my FBIL used them & got all his proofs, video & albums without a problem! Their proofs were actually finished & ready to pick up after their HM (10 days). They were very happy with the service they received. This is one reason why we booked them! When we met w/Big John, he was so easy to work with & really listened to our concerns.

Re: ADA Photo Question
I'm using them and so far, I got my proofs back very fast. And my thank-you's within 2 weeks of ordering them. I haven't done my albums yet, but they told me that generally they take about 3-4 months...could be longer depending on what I want.

I booked with Big John as well. I have heard nothing but good things about him!

Re: ADA Photo Question
I used ADA for my pictures and when I did the album order I asked how long it would take to get everything back. They said 4-6 months after I submitted my album order. Even though your friend got married 3 years ago maybe they just did their album order. I guess the clock starts ticking after you submit your album order.

Re: ADA Photo Question
They were one of the recommended vendors from my hall and I posted the same question. Go back and do a search on LIWeddings. ADA's track record seems very inconsistent. We did not even consider them because of that.

Re: ADA Photo Question
My sister used them and while her pictures came out nice, the photographer was a royal jerk! He was snapping at people and sometimes yelling, and saying inappropriate things. He would set up the bride and groom, and then tell the rest of the bridal party to 'just gather around.' Then he would yell and be like 'not there!' He made fun of my aunt's accent (she's Scottish) and did not work well w/ kids. My whole family told me I better not use him for my wedding and I definetly am not. You can find pictures that are just as nice from other photographers.

I booked ADA so I'm hoping this horror story of three years isn't true. But I have to say that everytime I hear a story about a bride having to wait such a long time for her album it turns out to be her own fault ie not putting in the order. My supervisor is waiting almost a year and a hlaf for his album from Duet but it's because him and his wife don't know exactly how they want it to look.
