Another marriage cert. warning from an 05'er

Hi ladies - Another bride posted a similar warning previously. The rabbi wasn't familiar with the city Marriage License form and filled it out wrong. Luckily, DH was able to go down today and get it fixed.

However, I just wanted to let you ladies know that you might want to look carefully at the marriage license when you get it, and when you sign it on the day, and the witnesses sign, to carefully watch to see that it is done correctly, b/c its a real PITA to fix. HTH!

Thanks. I also was told that you should ask if your officient is registered by the city of New York to perform marriage ceremonies. When you meet or speak with them ask if they are, I was told if they're not that may be a Red Flag. The last thing you want to hear is that your not married.... Oh My!
