Anyone know if this is normal?

I have been dieting for about a month and a half now. I have lost 14 lbs. I am very excited about it and am still on track but one thing is different?

I was always that girl in the office burning up or hot when everyone else was normal. I am now finding that I get colder easier. And even at home sometimes get the chills easily. Is this abnormal or something to get checked out, or is it normal with weight loss. TIA Nina

Re: Anyone know if this is normal?

yes that is normal - I lost over 150lbs and I used to be nice and cozy all the time. Now I freeze in the winter and don't really sweat in the summer. You will get used to it...think of it like this

You lost your insulation - but CONGRATS THAT IS AWESOME WORK!

Re: Anyone know if this is normal?

I just FMe'd someone who asked...so I'm going to cut and paste:

A little bit of weight watchers...

but I eat five meals a day...

Breakfast I either have a weight control or reduced sugar oatmeal...or a carb control or fat free yogurt.

Snack in between I usually do celery, or a flavored south beach bar.

Lunch is typically a salad...but I am one of those rare people that LOVE salads!! and if not that one of the ww meals or south beach meal.

snack again granola bar or sugar free jello...just something healthy. Quaker also put out those quakes...they are mini rice cakes.. but they have them in chocolate, peanut butter, cheddar sour cream..,stuff..

night time it is typically a protein...baked chicken, tuna, and a salad or greener veggie.

I am a potato freak...so if I get in the mood..I am sure to have them for lunch....or take an early dinner so I have time to burn some of it off. Basically I try and keep all heavy carbs in the early afternoon.

I do splurge sometimes...the occasional pizza, burrito...things of the sort...on days I do....I only eat salad the rest of the day.

Also....water is a vital instrument. My nutritionist told me if you drink a glass of water in the morning, first thing when you wake up, it jump starts your metabolism. Believe it or not,, I have been doing that and now I wake up wanting water. Pretty cool.

I have never been a water fan, but the more you drink...the easier it is too lose weight. And it becomes habit forming! I can't live without my water bottle now!

Have you started dieting yet?
I have yet to start excercising..I hate the e word. But I will start soon, as my weight loss is kind of climaxing right now.

I have lost 14 lbs...it has been about 6-7 weeks. But I will start slowing down on the loss now.....

Be sure and take a multivitamin in the morning.

The diet gets boring...change it up now and then..treat yourself to that hamburger too..but be sure and be good then for the next couple of days...
Have you started dieting yet?

And I will edite to add......I am a former sorority girl and currently a social butterfly. Unfortunately, that kind of lifestyle is not conducive for minimizing my large tuchus. So I still go out.. But I've learned to order a water or diet soda...or heck...club soda and lime and look like you are drinking. At first its very tempting...but alcohol is the worst. Now...being the lushy I am..I have not completely cut it out. I will treat myself. But usually to one drink. The cool thing is...last week it was a good friends bday..I had to celebrate. I had two dirty martinis and girlfriends...I WAS WASTED!! For a girl who used to drink guys under the table it was a nice feminine feeling and not to mention nice to the old pocketbook. And of course the wise old nutritionist said...if you must drink...try a wine..much better for ya..........

Again..WATER IS VITAL TO THE WEIGHT LOSS!!!

Thanks for the compliments ladies!!

Oh good...I was worried maybe I was not getting enough of something. So I increased my protein...but I was still getting cold. Now that you say its insulation....it makes sense!! I'd rather be a little chilly and put on a sweater then be busting out of my pants!!

Thanks sweetie!!!

Re: Anyone know if this is normal?

No problem! Just make sure you don't take in too much protein. 2 servings a day is fine. If you do protein for breakfast use you dairy (like cheese) for your lovely salads. That way you still get in protein, calcium and vitamin D (along with your K) but you don't get too much of a good thing.
Always protein with dinner though.

Glad to have helped and keep up the awesome work!

Re: Anyone know if this is normal?

After I lost all my weight I have never been warm again! Get used to being thin with big warm sweaters which will hide your body!!!!

Not me. I don't really get cold no matter how much weight I lose.

I'm just a hot mama!

Re: Anyone know if this is normal?

I think it's pretty normal too. I've been working out regularly since right before the holidays and I've also noticed I get cold more easily. I figure it's easy to just put another sweater on!
