atlantis in the bahamas...
anyone know if we definitely need a passport to go there? i know i needed one for the dominican republic, but not sure for the bahamas....thanks!!

as of last i checked you didnt HAVE to have one, but i believe they were changing that soon, if i were you i would bring mine just in case..im going there on my honeymoon and am bringing it...check out there website for travel requirements. www.atlantis.com

I just returned from the Bahamas, specifically Atlantis (yesterday in fact)! The passport requirement has been extended for another year for Bahamas travel, but it makes traveling MUCH easier if you have one. My FI asked the people at the airport about the requirement and they said they prefer the passport now. Both my FI and I have ours so we did not experience any delays or extra hassle. It makes sense to get your passport now. If you wait, once the requirment kicks in, it'll take longer for the passport papers to be processed (b/c more people will be applying.)

I'm going to Atlantis tomorrow. My company requested that
we bring our passports cause it makes things easier.

honestly I just went to mexico with a birth certifcate and my lic - and it was very easy- we didn't get hassled more for not having a passport

We just got back on sunday from a destination wedding there. My cousin did not have a passport, but he brought his birth certificate, a drivers license and a few other id's with him. They asked to see his birth certificate and drivers license. They said you will need a passport by Jan 1, 2007

well we've changed our minds, we found out its not 'all' inclusive, drinks arent included, so we're doing something else that has everything...thanks for the advice!Welcome New Vendors
