Calling all teacher brides!

Hey Ladies- I just started my master's program for education. I wasn't an education major in undergrad, so I'm still new at everything. I have to do a presentation on the Language Experience Approach (LEA) and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for examples I could use, or ones that you've used in your classrooms. Any advice or websites, anything would be appreciated! TIA!!!

Re: Calling all teacher brides!

Thank you SummerBride06 ... I just FMed you!

LEA is not a new term...the book I got from the library was printed in 1970 and I think that is when this approach first came out. Some teachers probably do it, but don't realize it's LEA.

Re: Calling all teacher brides!

Language Experience Approach is when students go into the environment to experience a hands on and then returns to the classroom and usually engages in a whole class writing experience.
