Can't decide which photos to use...
We got our proofs from the photographers last week. We have several hundred pictures but need to only pick 60 to be put in the album. Can't decide what to pick. I like them all. Any suggestions?

Can`t decide which photos to use...
Try grouping them into themes relating to the events - getting ready, arriving at the church, the ceremony, after the ceremony, and the various stages of the reception and the posed shots. Then go through each pile and eliminate the photos you don't like - save just the best. This will assure that you have a good group of shots from all parts of the wedding so you can 'tell the story' and once you reach that point it should be easier to narrow it down to your favorites. Your photographer should help you put the final album grouping together. Our photographer told us to select about 100 shots and they'd help us narrow it to 60.

I don't know if this is going to help, but...
I went through my proofs and made a first cut. I 'took' all of the photos I liked out of the bunch, and put them aside, and said to myself, 'in a perfect world, if I could have as many as I wanted, these are the ones I would want.' Then, I didn't cut again, and I brought those (with the other proofs separately) to the photographer studio to go over the 'album planning' with the album specialist at the photographer. Let me tell you, I quickly decided to take ALL of the ones I wanted, and ended up adding a few during the session. Yes, it cost more to do so, but we figured that we spent SOOOO much on the wedding already, so why not have the album that really tells the complete story. We ended up with approximately 140 pictures in our album, and I couldn't be more happy about it. I know that once I have the actual album, I won't look at the proofs, so I wanted all of the best in the album. I'm 100% happy I made that decision. Good luck, and be happy that you love so many of your pictures. I'm sure it will be beautiful!

I am having same issue right now...
My photographer delivered about 500 proofs, and I have only gotten half way through the book so far and I've already picked out about 60 pics that I LOVE. We contracted for up to 90, so I still have room, but I am starting to feel like I might have to add to the album in the final decision process. We'll see...right now, the proofs are with my family, so I can't work on it.

Thanks Stef, but...
I am too much of a control freak to ask others to vote on the photos for my album! I will have to do what some of the other woman advised, which is to pull out the ones I want and ask the photographer to help me narrow it down. Thanks for the suggestion!Welcome New Vendors
