Designs by Rose vs Flower Michele

Hey Ladies -

Last night I was with Doris & Rose (designs by rose), I was really impressed by them, they seemed to care and Doris is the nicest lady ever!! But i'm just a lil skeptical because i'm not sure if they have 'enough' experience compared to Flower Michele.

Flower Michele seems very professional, but pricey COMPARED to Designs by Rose. Flower Michele seemed very convincing, and I liked their flowers (but I also liked Designs by Rose...).... i'm CONFUSED!!! HELP!

I guess i'm skeptical because Designs by Rose is home based - does this matter?

What do you guys think?

i haven't experienced these two vendors but business out of homes if very common and in fact, some of my big vendors where based from home (video, flowers, officant, DOC, and others)

I would search all the boards for reviews on their work and go from there. I don't recall hearing anything negative about either vendor. Go with the vendor that feels right and that you can trust. IMO I feel the most important thing is trust so you have one less thing to worry about on your wedding day Personally I went with Flower Michele but I did not meet with Designs by Rose.

Warning! Warning! Very biased post: I love Flower Michele. By far my most impressive vendor. I didn't care a bit about the flowers because I was just under the impresssion that they weren't important because they all die. The minute I saw the petals and the flowers on Flower Michele, I was blown away. From that moment on, I cared

I have met with both vendors and really love both. It was a very hard decision. I honestly feel that you can not go wrong with both.

I wanted to add that Designs by Rose has an old review on here but many 06 brides are using them.

Next to catering halls, flowers were my hardest decision. I went to 14 different florists before making a decision. I chose someone that is home based. She was enthusiastic, showed a clear love for floral design, and understood what type of CP I was looking for. Her sample just blew me (and FH)away.

I didn't see Designs by Rose, but my personal experience with Flower Michele was not as good as most of the girls here, and he was waaaaaaay more expensive than every other florists I looked at.

Go with your gut, and your wallet.

just because a vendor has a lot of reviews on here doesn't mean anything. there are hundreds of florists on LI who are fabulous--but only a few are mentioned on here.

a home based business means nothing. they don't have the overhead of a storefront.

flower michelle started as a small nondescript flower shop until LIW if i remember correctly.
