DH left his ring home today

I know he had to get up early for business flight (the car picked him up at 4:30AM) but he always puts his ring on as he gets dressed.

I feel so sad today. He won't be home until late tonight and he doesn't have his ring and I don't even know if he noticed it yet.

And to top it off, the stupid car service called at 4:30 because they were having trouble finding our condo in the complex. Why call the house phone? Why not call DH's cell phone so as not to wake the other people (me) in the house?

Re: DH left his ring home today

DH occasionally forgets to put his ring on, and he always feels bad about it when it happens. I'm sure your DH feels the same way. It's not like he didn't wear it on purpose. It was 4am!

P.S. - most car services stink!

Re: DH left his ring home today

DH forgot his today too. He has probably noticed by now, only because he plays with his ring constantly.

It happens....especially at 4 AM when all he's really thinking about is going back to sleep.

Re: DH left his ring home today

DH doesn't even wear his ring anymore, I knew this would happen. He would wear it to work and play with it and take it off at his desk and sometimes forget it at work. I told him just leave it home, that's better than losing it. He wears it when we go out which is fine with me.

Mine doesn't either - only when we go out also. He does physical work so it;s really not a good idea to wear a ring.

My DH can't wear his ring only when we go out. It is a Union rule, No Jewelry!

Re: DH left his ring home today

I know it is silly, but he was so worried about making sure he had his dress shoes in a bag and his dress shirt with his suit jacket and blah blah and he missed his ring. I think it was the phone call from the car service that threw him off.

At least I got a kiss goodbye.

Re: DH left his ring home today

DH forgot his once and he called me on his way to work to tell me. He was actually really upset about it. I've forgotten to put my rings on too. Sometimes when you're in a rush, it's so easy to forget.

DH forgot his the other day too. I felt a little sad about it, which surprised me. He felt funny too- he's so used to it now.

My hubby has done this, and it is so annoying. He now calls me to tell me when he forgets (which luckily isnt too often). But it makes me sad too!

Mine can't wear his to work either. So, he's not used to having it on and occasionally forgets when he goes out. I get so upset. Next time I'm taking mine off and leaving it with his. We'll see if he forgets again!

Re: DH left his ring home today

Well, at least he realized he forgot it. DH said he realized he didn't have it on, half way to the airport and he couldn't get the driver to turn around. He said he couldn't sleep on the flight because he was so bummed.

Now had he been quick on his feet, he would have told the driver he forgot his passport (they were going to Canada) and he could have made him turn around. Oh well, at leat he realized he didn't have it.

DH forgot his ring today He didn;t even realize it until I called him.

The conversation went like this:

Me: 'Yumm, you trying to pick up chicks today?'

Him: 'What?'

Me: 'What you're making pretend you are single or what?'

Him: 'What?'

Me: 'Where's your wedding ring?'

Him: 'oh, hee hee?'

Me: 'yea Funny, not'

Him: 'Opps, oh no, I'm sorry.'

Me: 'So, hitting happy hour then tonight?'

Him: 'Nahhh, girls always love guys with the ring on ..'

Me: 'GRRRRRRR'

Re: DH left his ring home today

Mh DH forgets all the time. He can't wear his to work either (job hazard) although some of the guys do. His dad had to have his cut off his finger when it got caught on the firetruck when he was jumping off at a call. So I don't blame DH. But because he doesn't wear it all of the time, he forgets when we go out sometimes.

I'm sorry. Mine takes his off to shower and stuff but he wears it to sleep. I thought that was normal. I wear mine all the time. I take off my diamond sometimes but I always have my wedding ring on. I'm not helping am I?

Dale works in comstruction so he never wears it. I put it away in the jewelry box. I am sure he doesn't even know it is missing from where he put it.
