Did you ever feel like someone is wishing evil on you?

Ok, this is going to sound weird, but I SWEAR this woman at work is praying I fall flat on my face. I am a music teacher for grades 1-8 and this Friday is our HUGE performance for the year. Well, there's a nursery school and kindergarten music teacher in our school too, and she's more than twice my age. When I got this job last year, she basically came out and said, 'Oh, well, they wanted ME for the job, but I didn't want it.' So of course, I felt like sh-t and told this to my girlfriend at work who actually interviewed me for my job (before I knew her, obviously). Well, my gf told me they never even considered this other music teacher for the job because she is just not qualified......ok, well, PS, ALL day long during rehearsals, this other music teacher was falling all over herself to tell me how WONDERFUL my kids sound and telling me that no matter what anyone says, I'm amazing with the kids....and I couldn't help but feel like she was putting a curse on me. It was just creepy and eery! So let's hope my concert goes well because if not, I'll know who to blame!

I have one of those evil two faced teachers at my school too! That kind of makes me feel better... I thought I was the only one working with a crazy person like that!!

Dont worry you will do fine at your concert on friday. that lady is noting but trouble i think she is jealous of you because you are proberly are better than her and she might be just saying that to you. also she sounds like a person who is low class and does not have self esteem in other words she is doing it for attention. so like i said Dont worry you will be fine. I am going to pray that this lady gets a heart and stop acting like a *****,

good luck on friday..i'm sure she's just jealous and she wants to make you feel uncomfortable..some people aren't happy unless they are making others unhappy..you wouldn't have gotten the job if you weren't good at it!!

I agree with another poster who said sour grapes. That's just nasty to say 'despite what other people say'. She's trying to chip away at your confidence. There's alot of people who will try to do that to get under your skin. What a manipulative beeeotch. Don't sweat it, she didn't get the job, you did. And I'm sure your concert will be wonderful
