Did you send the priest an invitation to your wedding?

If you don't know the priest personally i.e. you just know him because he is performing your ceremony.... Did you send the priest a formal invitation to your wedding? THANKS GIRLS

Yes, you should but unless you are close to them they do not normally attend.

I think it's proper etiquette to invite the officiant that marrys you. I am, and I think he'll come, even though I'm not close with him.

We didn't send a formal invite but we did invite him when we saw him personally to both the RD and the wedding. He declined both.

we sent our priest an invite and he declined but i felt it was the appropriate thing to do!
