how do i get to the nassau col from queens?

(yes, i could go on mapquest, but why should i when i have so many intelligent folks around here to help me out!)

belt parkway (stay in middle lane)

belt parkway eventually splits off to southern state parkway and cross island parkway

you're going to want to follow the signs to the southern state.

Once you're on the southern state, take that to exit 22N, meadowbrook parkway.

Once you're on the meadowbrook, take that to M4 (I believe). the exit will say 'Coliseum'

follow the signs and you're there

OR take LIE or Grand Central to MeadowBrook Pkwy and get off at Nassau Coliseum

Kelly -

Take the Grand Central East, which turns into the Northern State East

Exit to Meadowbrook Parkway South

Take Meadowbrook Parkway South for a few exits.

There will me a sign for 'HEMPSTEAD/COLUSIUM' (it might be exit 4?)

Believe me, they'll be plenty of cars to follow off the exist and into Nassau Collusium

Ditto, this is the most direct route. No offense to the others, but it has been my experience that the Belt/Southern is too unpredictable

thanks folks...i know don probably leans towards the belt being that you live in hobe...but i am closer to the interboro...so...the gcp directions work best for me! thanks everyone!!!

none taken -- the belt SUCKS!! but it's right by my house

GCP is too far out of the way for me

No, the belt is very predictable....I predict you will sit in traffic near the airport.

Agreed that the Belt is pretty lousy .. but sometimes it's worth it to jump off the highway and take the service road (N. or S. Conduit)

By the way .. from Southern State .. you'll want Meadowbrook going northbound .. and be prepared to sit in traffic on the SS by Hempstead Lake.
