DIY Place cards help

I am looking to do my own place cards. Any suggestions as to where to start looking for ideas?

I looked online and wasn't able to find any templates online so I have no clue where to start.

What sort of design are you looking for? Do you want traditional folding place cards, or are you looking to make something a little more unique the place card?

I've heard of people using candles, sand dollars, votives, even chocolate bars as their place cards.

Do you have a particular theme or colors you want to pick up? Are you just looking for a template to print your own or do you want to create something unique as a combination favor / escort table card?
