I've hear mixed reviews on this.... my travel agent still hasn't called me to tell me this, but Rosaria mentioned it a while back.... at least I think it was Rosaria....

Re: Do I need a passport for Aruba?
I was just there in November and they require that you have it. They passed a new law or something and now you have to have it to go to Aruba.

Re: Do I need a passport for Aruba?
I just called Liberty Travel and they said starting December 31st you will need a passport, but for now, a raised seal Birth Certificate and driver's license is enough. But after December all the Caribbean islands will require passports only. They did say that Barbados is the only Island that requires a passport now. I hope this helped you. We're going to Aruba in three weeks and FH doesn't have a passport, so I had a quick panic, but we're ok now.

Re: Do I need a passport for Aruba?
Funny you should ask. I am house/dog sitting for my FSIL who is in Aruba with her boyfriend. They were supposed to leave on Sat AM, but when they arrived at the airport, come to find out her boyfriend had the wrong birth cert. He had the one with the footprint and sticker seal (as opposed to the RAISED seal). Luckily they were able to rebook for Sun AM, he had the correct birth cert. with the RAISED seal and went with no problems.Personally, I would get a passport. Though it may not be necessary now, with all the changes in the security system, I'd get one.

Re: Do I need a passport for Aruba?
I am going to Aruba in July, bringing my passport and not 'legally' changing my last name till I get back from the HM...I didn't want to run into any problems with my new last name not matching the one on my passport
