Engagement Portrait

On a recent interview with a possible photographer, he had somthing typed up for us that shows a ball park range of what we would be paying for. My Fiance' and are are curious as to why he had engagement portrait on there.. I mean we did not mention that we needed one and he knows we went to see him for the wedding photos so why would he add that on there? Doesn't that mean a portrait taken of the two of us engaged? My Fiance does not agree.. he thinks it's something else.. but I think I'm right.

Re: Engagement Portrait

A lot of photographers include an engagement photo. It is usually a couple picks taken a few months before the wedding. You usually pikc one for an 8X10. A lot of couples display the pic on their table where the placecards are on the wedding day.

Re: Engagement Portrait

It is also used as a semi-trial to see if you and your photographer match. Sometimes you may book with someone other than your photographer and want to make sure you like their work and their personality. You don't want to spend 8 hours + with someone you don't care for too much :)

Re: Engagement Portrait

I got my engagement pics taken at Sears, I got a lot of stuff 40 announcement cards, about 4 5x7, a sheet of wallets, 4 8x10 and 8 3X5, It all came out to $131 and change, A couple of the pictures were very cute and a couple I didn't like. I thought it was worth it, I dunno how much my photographer charges b/c I didn't even ask! Maybe I should've....
XOXOXOXO
