Fall wedding

I'm having a fall/harvest theme wedding. I was thinking having the BMs in the same dress but each girl in a different color. The idea is to use the colors of a leaf as it changes. Dark tones of grean, red, oragnge, and yellow. What do you guys think? Too much?

Hmmm.. i think that might be a little bit too much. I would stick with one color and use all your colors for accents with sashes or bows and ribbons and use the colors into your flowers..

I had a similar idea in the beginning but I scrapped it because it ended up driving me crazy.

I've decided to go with my bridesmaids wearing all eggplant (their sash will also be eggplant) and have my matron of honor in eggplant with a chocolate sash. Her twin daughters are my jr bridesmaids so their dresses will be the same as their mothers.

You can play with different colors in the dress details-like alternating sash colors-but i'd be careful about too many colors. If you can have all the girls together to try on the colors then maybe that will help you decide. Take lots of pictures from different angles and look at them a week or two after taking them to see if your thoughts have changed.

I was thinking of doing a similar thing. When I went to do the dresses. the attendants showed me a variation (they didnt have the chosen dress in all of the colors)...granted I also only had two of the girls with me -- and it looked different than the way I pictured it. The idea is great, but make sure you can see exactly what it looks like and it is exactly the way you pictured it

im doing a fall theme also and i picked out my bm dresses last weekend...the 3 of them have the same dress and 3 different colors to represent the different fall leaf colors...it looks beautiful

How about two colors for all their dresses- for ex, brown with green sashes. That way you can incorporate two colors you like, and then have the flowers be a mix of the colors, and it won't overwhelm the eye as much :)

I just signed up for this site and can't believe you thought of the same idea as me! I have a dress picked out but... I wanted the girls to wear one red, orange, green, brown etc..... I LOVE the fall (I am getting married 11/13/11... and think its a great idea!!!

I am having a fall wedding as well..the girls are wearing a chocolate gown with a burnt orange swarovski crystal sash and the flowers are the fall colors..it took me awhile to get to this but thats my final decision..gl

I really like the idea of black dresses with a green sash. I think black dresses with the green sash so you can incorporate the groom's mens colors!

Use dark colours like red,green and yellow through out the whole thing.

so first select a exact color or theme, for example a rustic boho method. When it arrives to hue let the maids choose the best shadow of that specific color, so that they will seem happy in what they are wearing. select a length that is right for the season.
